|Sick Ridiculous - Microchronograph

| My band Sick Ridiculous and the Sick Ridiculous has been deliberately hunkerin' down, to the nitty gritty I mean, and writing songs for Phase II of operation Rock and Roll. We only played one show in Qs 1 and 2 of 2k10, at Alan and Mike's birthday barbecue. This is the song we wrote for the event, Microchronograph:
Sick Ridiculous – Microchronograph We were challenged to write a song about both of the co-birthday co-hosts; one is a researcher and the other a reporter with a name that we like to make creative jokes about. This song is about academic dishonesty, specifically a nanoresearcher who decides to drastically shrink all of the graphs in his paper so that the referees of the journal cannot actually read them. The "microchronograph" is the name joke on "Mike Cronin" (think: Cronin the Barbarian, Croninator, etc.), and also a very small watch used to measure very small nanotubules. Get MP3'd.
The hunkerin' down has produced four new songs, and there will probably be more soon as Nels returns from his world tour, for example we will need to make a song for our upcoming show in DC. (No actual more details on that; just see the previous post until there's a Facebook event or somethin.) So please prepare for an earsplosion.
I could feel my heart skipping beats during the paper rejection voiceover.
|oh i see, so you're a transmetropolitan* band now! guess that means you should come to NYC next.
*i was going to say "interstate" until i realized you'd cleverly evaded that label by choosing D.C.
|Hey Chris, cheap buses from NYC to DC are pretty cheap! Come see why our city is renowned for its northern charm and southern efficiency.
|@Scott F: that would be pretty cool! if it's on a saturday i might be able to swing it.
|Thursday night is the new Saturday!
|Can you create a facebook event page? I'd like to pass the info along to my peeps here and hype the show!
|Oh cool, Cortney of Tom 7 fame, didn't know you lived in DC.
There is now an event page on that evil, heinously addictive, time-stealing website. Go nuts:
|I will pimp that as soon as I'm done with the poster! Today!
|@ScottF, Yes, I've been in DC for a few years now, and live not that far away from The Submarine. Looking forward to the show!
