I finally found my copy of Acre Thrills by US Maple, which I thought I had lost in the move. I still think this is the best album released this year. If you fear for the future of music (but think you have an open mind), try this one out. (I am always reluctant to recommend US Maple; maybe you should download it somewhere for free.)
I've also unexpectedly grown to like the new Radiohead album, Amnesiac. It's much less weird than US Maple, but much more interesting than most stuff I hear being called "Alternative". (From the same people who brought you "Creep"!) Kudos to both of these bands for not caring what the "right" way to make music is. |  |
