It's ... (05 Dec 2002 at 05:04)
It's that time of the month again! Classes end on Friday, but my crunch is for tomorrow -- I'm up all night grading 150 assignments for 15-212 (totalling about 1000 pages!) and preparing a talk for the last day of a seminar class. It's no fun, but unlike previous semesters I really am done after this evening. No other projects or deadlines are hanging over my head except for my regular research, and that's actually fun.

Today I saw Dana Scott's last ever lecture at CMU. Crazy! He is retiring next year and "Applied Logic" was his last class.

(Constructive Logic Joke follows.) Remember: There are three kinds of people in this world: Those who believe in excluded middle, those who don't believe in excluded middle, and those who don't not believe in excluded middle.
