Slashdot had a question today about using human eyes as cameras (by connecting to the optic nerve) That I'm pretty sure was intended to be an April Fool's joke. But someone posted this research where they actually did it with a cat and got recognizable results. Wow! Maybe my dream of being able to instantly take pictures of "what I see" without whipping out my camera, focusing, etc. is not too far off...
