Famicompo VOTE END!
(17 Jul 2003 at 10:34) |
The Famicompo results are in. I didn't win (not really a surprise), but I did get some honest votes and even some dubious praise: one voter called my song the "best song I shouldn't like." I guess the lesson is that if I want to win one of these, I should learn how to make sounds other than just straight-up square wave. ;) (Vote stuffing wouldn't hurt, either -- look at the winner's vote record.)
Soon I'll post my songs here, as well as my software "midimml" that was used to create them.

I have to say that "Artificial Intelligence Bomb" sounds like a title that you'd use, even if it wasn't your song.

I second that,

They're up, and so is the software, at http://tom7.org/midimml/.
I finally translated some of the Japanese comments in the vote log using the Excite service. Man, does it do a bad but hilarious job!
For GSSS: "pitch movement like GURISSANDO which is not understood well -- what -- kana"
(Votes on several songs): "Original music had many individual works and it was good for it. A cover has many which were pulled by the original melody and have lost nes-likeness. Although the eye said too cover music at first, when it was heard repeatedly, the original is more impressive and he had a feeling completed as music of nsf."
