Micro-review: Space Quest 0: Replicated (04 Aug 2003 at 23:39)
I really enjoyed playing an unofficial prequel to Space Quest called Space Quest 0: Replicated. It's got EGA graphics, 2-channel bleep music, and was even written with the for Sierra AGI language (though it runs in a modern port of that). It was a little short by modern standards, but it could have easily been a real Space Quest game in 1988...

Space Quest 0: Replicated won't work on my computer, because I have Windows XP.

I have XP too, and it worked for me? You might need to get a Windows AGI interpreter...

Try looking for a grabbing DosBox. It's an emulator that runs under windows. Not only does it emulate a 486, it emulates several soundcards, allowing you to play many of the older SQ series games.

I've used DosBox, which is great, although these emulators for the adventure game format are even better because you can use them at higher resolution, etc.
