NEW: Tom's Novel: 'Name of Author by Title of Book' (08 Dec 2003 at 22:31)
It's finally up! Here's my book, Name of Author by Title of Book. It was created in the month of November with a bit of editing and graphic design in this first week of December.

I've also placed it on lulu.com for print-on-demand. (I don't make any money off copies that they print; just think of it as a convenient way to get a hard copy.) They've got a pretty cool thing going on there! But I wouldn't recommend ordering a copy there until I get mine, because I'm not sure I did all of the uploading and conversion and margins correctly. I'll let you know when my copy arrives.

I haven't looked at the words yet, but the cover is quite beautiful! That lulu printer thingy is a very nice idea, I think that I will order one of those (once you give the good word on it). Too much to read on computer monitor...

I am ordering this book. There is no stopping me. You amaze. I didn't think you could out do the play in three fits, but oh I was wrong... page nine, I think... may just be my favorite thing ever.

Admiring from afar,
Your Anonymous Fan

Maybe you should know that a writer named "Stefano Benni" writes stuff that's exactly what your novel is, and sells a lot here in Italy. Find a good translator, and become famous in the Boot Nation!

Using 'Boring Boron' as the font for the cover was a nice touch.
I definitely have to print this out so I can read it forever!

sigh.

"The item chosen contains information which cannot be used."

2 of many programs that WebTV doesn't support (pdf and tar) ;-(

May I suggest adding a synopsis to your novel's front page?

lol, that is the point - WebTV doesn't have that, and probably never will. Nor the "smart cards" that were promised in the propaganda that never materialized, for which we have a portal.

but, at school I have access to them new-fangled kompewtrrs, so I will check it out there ;-)

Hah. Read a novel as a result of a songfight. Wasn't expecting that. Also wasn't expecting it to be good. Surprised. Reminds me of a more energetic Adams. . . Love the time travelling lawyer.
Also, do more songfights.
Cheers.

I also wrote a second novel that I think is better than the first. You can find it at tom7.org/novel2/. I mostly do Album-a-Day stuff, but since I've been so slow doing that maybe I can get more into songfight, we'll see...

I had a fun time reading the book, it was strange and demented, and thoroughly fun. It reminded me that books don't have to make sense, which has inspired me to write my own, of a similar format.
