New Toy: Sony Vaio TR3AP
(20 Oct 2004 at 00:36) |
Here's another new toy. I got this laptop for nanowrimo next month and for use as a GPS on road trips (very handy!!). The TR3AP is one of Sony's smallest laptops, pictured here next to a 1 Yuan note for scale. I love this little sucker a lot so far.
Oddly, it is a bit thicker and heavier than my last Vaio (N505VE), which I got about 5 years ago. Aren't computers supposed to get smaller? On the other hand, it sports onboard wireless and DVD/CDR, which were sorely missing from the old guy. The case is also plastic, which isn't as cool as the magnesium on the N505VE, especially since this one cost $500 more. But it's still very small, snappy, gets great battery life, and all the good things a laptop is supposed to be.
(PS. We saw Mirah and friends tonight courtesy of WPTS. Two concerts in the same week is starting to make me feel like college again!) | |
