Weekend of Concerts + Stuff
(18 Sep 2000 at 21:14) |
This weekend I saw my favorite band Guided By Voices play a 2 3/4 hour set with 3 encores! They played a few songs which I had really missed last time I saw them, including Flat Beauty, Fair Touching, and Subspace Biographies. These three are in the queue to be covered by my GBV Cover Project.
As if our ears weren't ringing enough, Karthik and Zibs and I made the 3 hour trip to Oberlin to see famous Grrl rockers Sleater-Kinney. These concerts and sleeping consumed most of my weekend, but it was worth it.
Upcoming cool concerts: godspeed you black emperor! at CMU, Elliott Smith at CMU (!!), Versus at CMU...
This week I'll be working on my thesis proposal, work for History of Design and Human Experience in Design, as well as my Compiler Design class. I'll also be upgrading my automated theorem prover (which should be called "Overkill") in order to handle the new Assignment for Constructive Logic.
I'll also probably be working on Webqueue, which is my free replacement for (and improvement upon) the useful but evil GetRight! software. | |
