NEW: Tom 7 Entertainment System site
(17 Sep 2005 at 03:11) |
| After many pixel drawn and many a broken sentence written, the Tom 7 Entertainment System web page is born. Unless you've been doing (fairly simple) archaeology on my server, there are a bunch new songs available here for the first time. Some definitely as-yet-unreleased are coming up some time in the next week or two. |
 |
 |
| excellont. could you label the as-yet-unreleaseds when they become released, so that they are easy to find? kthxbye |
| Yep, there are headers on each section ("Available 2004") and I will add new sections as I upload. |
I like dancing robots.
cool. |
| Thanks H! |
| What I ask is how tunes are played please. The Laundry one even has Bach-type sequence in it. |
| Arthur: you mean like, sheet music? I could provide midi files, if you like. Just give me a list of favorites, since it takes a bit of effort to convert each one. Most of these I type into the sequencer directly, so I am not sure how much human playability they have. Like, good luck playing some of the 13/8 200bpm ones. ;) |
| I was wondered how you made these tunes... I can't even read sheet music, let alone play that fast. :) |
I made them in various versions of the Cakewalk midi sequencer, using the piano roll. Cakewalk 3 was the best, really, but it doesn't run on my computer any more. I guess there are some up there that I did play on the keyboard, 16 bit ones like "Radon" and "Akasha" and "Sony", but I consider that method obsolete. ;)
The ones that sound really gritty like they came from a NES were designed to be converted by my "midimml" software into NSF files for that extra special sound. |
if you make easy hearingable music(about tempo),
your music will be more better things.
but you are so...
cool. |
Dude I like your stuff!!
your should release at www.8bitpeoples.com
I think alot of people in the netlable community would enjoy hearing from you. I just stumbled on your site. Paul email me paulshuler at fastmail dot us. peace keep jamming! |
| I just became a fan and downloaded furiously every tune I could and now my fingers hurt. I love your music, ta. |
| Thank you sam, paul, and chris! |
| Great collection, one of my favourites is "laundry", with it's fugue-like structure. As I am a fan of Bach as well as modern monotone synthesizer music I would like to encourage you to keep on doing music in that style :) |
| Thanks psy_ill! |

| Hooray! |
hey Tom, i just found this page while searching for that little font program you made. it has totally distracted me to see your diverse output. I aspire to be a similar geek "renaissance man," and in particular, here's my music page: htt pee://w w w.mattmontag.com/music
check that out, and in particular, check out the nintendo sonata there. I enjoy your song titles, and all the subtle references to culture i am very familiar with. Ok, going back to explore now. |
Radon was special good but a wanted more of.
It's you. Tom, show talent do come even to those who can poor now but later have wealth.
// on a side note, your site is fantastic. Thanks for making my day at work slightly more enjoyable, as it can be full of corporate-sauce (which tastes impeccably like a single dead sock).

Thanks MXatt, I like Nintendo Sonata and I listened to it twice!
Dan: Thanks! I am making more... |
| Now there are more! |
| T7ES explodes my head. I am very much like my exploded head, please and thank you! |
| enjoy your new brains!!! |
Sup dude. Love these songs, I downloaded all of them. Thanks for sharing. I like that fact that a most of them don't use any drums, it makes them feel even more minimal. Kudos to you. Also thanks for the mml to midi tool. If you ever want to check out my chiptunes or just say hello, look me up under the moniker "kid versus chemical". I have a myspace page and my actual website should be up soon with tons of free music.
Peace. |
