Ah, to make a difference...
(08 Mar 2006 at 07:14) |
Jake asks, "Are you responsible for this, Tom?". (That blog is pretty fine readin', actually—especially if you can imagine the Pittsburgh accents for some of them.)
The answer is yes, of course, though the question (accompanied by a drawing similar to this) was actually, "Is it normal to sex a robot?" | |
|
wait, were you the lecture organizer? or did you write the question? |
Thanks for the mention.
|
Well what's the answer then, if you're so smart? |
Oh uh nevermind, I filter out words in typeface larger than 12pt. |
No, I was the question asker. |
It is not normal to sex a robot. The bible says so. |
Speaking of mishearing what Tom says about robots, I've got some more AAD lyrics to confirm. The question marks indicate the parts I'm not sure about, if you wouldn't mind correcting them. Thank you!
----------
Molten Mother
and that's why she's a molten mom
caterwauling with a plum (PLOM?)
why she's a molten mom
----------
The Mail's Not Poison
I put a bomb inside her purse
and I'm hoping for the worst
please wear your hardhat in my lamp (?)
and watch out what you grab
----------
East Key to Visit
east key to visit
and after that we'll do the west
it's not for a ??
let's just move on to the rest
----------
Jessica
you're no superhero
like uyama yasushiro (?)
----------
Praise for Chuck
henrietta henrietta
how do you spell vendetta?
jobiround (?) these things
I do not know what winter brings
----------
My Bank
then I wouldn't worry
the FDIC would refund (?) me
----------
Castle Waxmud
castle waxmud stands in echinchaya (?) plays
prince salies' (?) plan to avenge his parents' remains

... "caterwauling with aplomb"
... "please wear your hardhat in my lab" (or in my lap, you know, danger)
... "it's not fun--or is it?"
... "like ueyama yasushiro" (don't know where that came from)
... "show me 'round these things"
... "the FDIC would worry for me"
... "castle waxmud stands in echinshire plains" / "prince saile's plan to avenge his parents remains"
Sorry, sometimes I mumble lyrics because they suck.
This last one is a bunch of stuff from an RPG game I wanted to write in high school called Anathema. I'm not really sure how "echinshire" was supposed to be spelled, but many of the names of the characters and places came from reversing words or my friends' names or stuff like that. Man, nerd city.
BTW, I totally don't mind doing lyric clarifications (it's rather flattering, actually) but if you want a comprehensive source, lots of the lyrics are available on the AAD pages (click on the "lyrics and chords" link). They don't always match with the song because I often "improvise" during the performance, but it's a good first place to look. |
Hooray, thank you! Actually, I did go to the "lyrics and chords" links - the only songs I have left to transcribe are various songs from your AAD1-9. Unfortunately, it looks like there are no "lyrics and chords" links for those.
Once Apple added a lyrics field to their ID3 tags, my obsessive mp3-organizing nature went into overdrive. But now I just realized that for the AADs, I gave the songs only the main album art, when I *could* be using the unique-to-each-song art instead. |
