T7es 2007

robots sexing each other I put up some new songs from Tom 7 Entertainment System that I wrote this year. I'm particularly excited about Rutgers and Sensations, which the latter is probably my catchiest song in 21/16 time. (Well, at least it gets stuck in my head.) I also snuck some very old tunes I wrote in college or high school into the «classic» section, but those are really only for T7ES completists, of which I believe there are only about 3. Their struggle is futile indeed since there are now over 800 (mostly bad) songs not yet uploaded, which at the current rate gives a projected completion year of 2121. |

I'm only a completist with regards to the _good_ T7ES songs. And I think I have all 5.
|
How will you know until you listen to 900 of them? |
Damn, those two are quite sweet. What's the envelope like on the swooshy percussion in Rutgers? |
No envelope necessary. I think what you're hearing is the fact that I use 32nd and 64th note portamentos on the noise channels, which probably also creates a volume difference because lower pitched noise sounds less loud. Ok so maybe there is an enevelope and it goes "whishhhhh". |
Tom, you're right. I need to listen to all 900 of the songs before I can say for sure... what's good.
Why don't you render them all in ultra high quality audiophile FLAC and upload one of those BitTorrent thingies?
|
Just because it takes forever and I don't have any space on my server (and, like I said, most of the songs are bad!). I'm going to get a new server when I finish my dissertation, so maybe then i will have room for massive collections of things. |
Rutgers rulez. |
I must be one of those 3 completists because I already had a couple of those songs thanks to last.fm, and I have an inexplicable urge to get all 900. |
In fact I was actually referring to Super Brain Panic!! when I said I already had some of those songs, I didn't see the new ones were on there too until I listened to them and saw them on my profile.
Also,
"You can be the first person to write a journal about robots sexing each other. Neat."
Neat indeed. |
I think I was the first one to write a journal about robots sexing each other, sorry! |
