Ever heard of Conway's Game of Life(and all 1000+ related rule sets)?

Gil: It sure does look like something I'd draw, but I don't think it's mine (unless I don't remember doing it). Actually on the antennae it's pretty clearly the Flash drawing tool, which I never used for fonts. :)

I was watching "around the world for free" on WGN 9 Chicago and noticed a Logo for "Fring" that looks like it is one of yours. It'd be cool if it is because it was in South Africa.

I would claim to be a "serious programmer" and strongly disagree, for the reasons I explained. Special cases are the rough surfaces that make it difficult to put large software together.

imho reading zero blocks of size n or n block of size zero is an error. this should be avoided by any serious programmer.
a program should not do meaningless stuff like reading blocks of length zero.
if you debug programs you have to decide what is an error and what is intended by the programmer. at first glance i would assume that reading zero bytes is not intended to be happened and therefore a possible error.

Chiming in to say that your music is really good. When a conversation comes to retro-ish music, I'm definitely recommending this stuff to others!

Is there any way to restore the default (chronological) sort without closing and reopening Escape?

Seems like it's my fault for putting Latin characters and purporting them to be utf-8. I'll try to fix it.

Thanks for the heads up. This has happened before when I've included non-ASCII characters. I thought I'm encoding UTF-8 correctly but maybe not. Other parsers accept it; livejournal's is very picky.

Oh, offtopic, dude, but your RSS feed is broken. I was wondering why your feed wasn't showing up on my LiveJournal recently, and I checked the feed page there, and it is all, "Error Message: RSS parser error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 41, column 1778, byte 14725" and stuff.

No wonder you took four hours, you were oxygen deprived from the first mile in the mask, dehydrated from sweating in the suit and had squishy feet from puddle jumpin. Next year, shorts and tee shirt and tamaflu...
