That number, and the other statistics, are updated more slowly. Since the site goes down a lot it's probably not worth paying close attention to it. ;)

The recent tracks should come up right away, unless there's something wrong with the site (it's working for me right now). You probably didn't set up the plugin correctly; maybe a wrong password... (I have never done the itunes one)
