Girlfriend in a comma, I know, I know, it's serious... |

Pretty awesome and funny! |
|
That was the error I got first time I tried to post a comment. I thought I would get the same error the second time, but mysteriously no.
Anyway, very educational and beautifully illustrated. We need more funding for our schools, so that they can afford to buy every child a hardcover copy of this comic. |

I too have found mold growing in my children's bedroom base of the wall.There is a bathroom on the other side of their room and it was quit alarming to see.I first did the bleach treatment,then they told me it came back and that bothered me and I notified my landlord immediately.
Mushrooms aren't to be ignored but taken seriously.I didn't know there were so many stories about this issue all over the world. |

[ BAD SAT SCORES ]
Fuck, I have a 1140 on my SAT combined. And I thought I was the only one. If I fail this again (2nd time) I'm gonna try my luck on the ACT. It is RIDICULOUSLY EASY AS FUCK, more like math and english you can comprehend as a middle school student. Plus a 2.9 GPA, damn I'm lazy |

Hi Tom 7,
I was hoping I could use part of one of your songs (0 Day Weekend) in an intro for my 'not yet begun' YouTube channel. If you are cool with that, I'll credit you in all videos as "Tom 7 Entertainment System" and link to mp3.tom7.org/t7es/ so everyone can experience the glorious chiptunes you've created! Let me know what you think. :)
Cheers,
/michael |

Oh yeah and happy birthday! |
|
Happy birthday! Coincidentally I just wrote a song (not recorded yet) that goes "Life gets better / when you're 33 / and you finally understand / what goes on". Let me know if it's true. I wrote it to stop despairing about my rapidly-advancing age relative to my not-so-rapidly-advancing accomplishments. |

stb_image is great, thanks for that. I will use it some day because I can't stand shared libraries. I wish it had support for 24-bit PNGs with an alpha channel though! That's what I usually use. |

i agree with Zog comment... Zog (2763) Sun 09 Sep 2012 13:43
Utterly pointless.And Yes it belongs in the minor area.I just like to
know what Zogs' has contributed to this game other than that rather
smart SOB comment??? |

I love that this thing is still getting commented on. I ended up here after TinY World was linked on Free Indie Games, and the title of this post drew me instantly.
I had never soldered anything in my life, so rather than facing the problem head on, I bought like five different versions of this thing over the years. They were always pretty cheap here in Israel.
Or, well, only two were shaped like that and had that godawful rocker thing (which also broke hilariously). The rest were vaguely iPod-shaped, if blockier, but their headphone jacks died the same way, and they also had "hello!"/"goodbye!" screens, and some of the icons were similar, so I suspect both variations shared an ancestor.
Nowadays on the cheap side, Sansas of all sorts seem to be functioning well for me and my friends.
I don't really know why I felt the need to chime in with all this. Probably because it was exciting to see someone actually solve a problem that frustrated me a lot in the past, but that I had mostly forgotten about.
So, in a belated effort to put it briefly: I enjoyed your post. |
|
I made stb_image.c for many things, and "easy to drop it when you're in the middle of a game jam and need a PNG" is definitely a sweet spot for it; I'm sad you didn't know about it. (Although it might use too much memory since it's design to be simple, not optimal.) Google it if you care. |
|
Yay! The exploration platformer concept is so awesome we ended up doing the same sort of thing and had a lot of fun doing it.
Your game is great - I put some comments on the Ludum Dare page if you saw those. Though also, it does desperately need a cute chiptune loop for the main gameplay... |
|
It's probably the deleteme dir. The game will make stuff like that while updating, so if something went wrong, you may have extra files around. Try moving that dir out of the escape dir, and if all is well after restarting the game, you can probably dispose of the directory. |
|
Tom,
The folders within my 'Escape' directory are:
0_3332_1582.deleteme;
attic;
graveyard;
minor league;
mylevels;
official;
and,
triage.
|
|
Thanks for reminding me about bugs. :) the hard thing is not fixing them, but just getting the game to compile again, cuz I have a new computer since the last time I built it. But I do still care even if I'm bad at it.
Grue: escape looks for all puzzle files within the directory it's in and all subdirectories. Do you have a copy of the triage folder, or a backup or anything like that, inside the escape folder? |
|
I've currently got two triage options when I load levels. Why is that. |
|
is the bug with bookmarking ever going to be fixed? pretty please... |
