No (although I did screw up the number), it was because I forgot to manually update the Official collection after moving the tutorial there. It's fixed now.

Awesome - remotes are great!
Can't play the tutorial yet, though, cause it doesn't show up. Is it because there was already a tutorial 21 (bombs)?

Yeah, I haven't uploaded the OSX version yet... I have to get my hands on a friend's OSX laptop, since I don't have one myself. It'll definitely be out later today though. That'll fix all the problems you're having.

Thank you for the new version.

I downloaded the new Escape (on OSX), and it works. However the update of levels isn't working. Plus, the last level in the new one is 1417, and just the 21 tutorials.

The last time I update levels on the old version, levels were up to 1523, and of course the 21 tutorials.

When I update either the old or new version, it just says update is up to date.

Oh look at that, I guess I am announcing version 1.0 in the header... but then I am going and reading the 1.1 spec. Oops!

HELP!!!!

alright i got a 1280 overall (new sat).
i know sucky.

my GPA is around 3.5
not super horrible but not good enough

i applied to UH but got denied :(

i really need to get into a university somewhere westcoast-ish.
ive been looking at many university admission requirements.. and hardly any of them tells me the minimum GPA and test scores needed to get in.

so i really just want to know if there's any universities out there that'll accept a 1280, 3.5 gpa kid.

ahhhhhhhhhh im so curious. its killing me

please let me know if there's any school(s) that'l accept me.

So my mushroom story beats everyone's. I have mushrooms growing out of my carpet in my sons closet where the water heater is. My house is 10 years old, was inspected and we have only been here for 3 months!

Max: Yeah, I agree... any idea on how to best to refer to other levels? A menu I guess?

One thing I've been meaning to do is have metadata for "based on" or "cook of" or "spoiler for" other levels on the server, so that you could prevent a level from being displayed if it's a spoiler for a level that you haven't beaten yet, for instance. (Like, Skirting Skirting and Rouge-like-like are pretty big spoilers for the levels they cook...) I haven't quite figured out how the best way to do that would be though.

It would be nice to allow authors to put in links to other levels in comments, especially if it is a mod of an existing level.

Yeah, that doc would have been pretty helpful, but I think I've learned pretty much everything on there... (the command-` thing and apple-O being the biggest stumbling blocks for me)

Also, apparently Janice really likes the program Quicksilver, which is what the Apple people copied when they came up with Spotlight. It's supposed to be faster.

Someone just passed along this link to me (guide to switching to a mac from a PC) ... it seems like a pretty handy reference.

Bizarre. Well, I added the charset to my HTTP headers, but I don't think this was the problem: for a long time I've put Unicode characters in the RSS feed without any problems (probably because of client-side detection or defaults different from RFC 3023).. it's just that character 27 seems to cause some parsers to choke. ESC is ASCII even, it's just not printable.

haha, i picture many drunken belt-buckle bottle-openings ending up either with foamy beer firing down the front of the pants, or the bottle slipping and hitting the belt-buckle operator in the junk.

and then class action lawsuits! ;)

That's pretty awesome. I think it just edges out the belt-buckle whiskey flask I once saw. Planning on getting one?

Huh, I just coincidentally bumped into this on the web...

http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2004/07/21/dive.html

"According to RFC 3023, every single one of those cached feeds being served as text/xml has a character encoding of us-ascii, not the encoding declared in the XML declaration. [...] Over 20% of the feeds I surveyed weren't even served with an XML content type, so they're automatically ill-formed. The vast majority of the rest were served as text/xml with no charset parameter. These could be well-formed, but RFC 3023 says they must be treated as us-ascii. But many contained non-ASCII characters, so they were not well-formed. They were properly encoded, but not properly served. That is, they were encoded in some non-ASCII character encoding that the publisher carefully declared in the XML declaration -- which must be ignored because of the HTTP Content-Type."

Of course that was 2004 so maybe the rules have changed since.

Except really I like acoustic guitars much more than electric ones, and the only auto-tuning acoustic guitar is $14,500...!
