Somehow I don't think that "gonzo thesis proposal" would go over well with my advisors. ;) |

|

How am I supposed to procrastinate working on my thesis proposal if I ban my friends from my blog-dar? |
| |
I think my posting privileges should be revoked until I get some more sleep. Blame speed reading combined with tiredness on my misreading of your post.
I am glad to hear the freedom bathrooms are abundant. |

No way! I mean the horizontal periphery, not vertical. These freedom bathrooms are on every upper floor over by Doherty. (Cue, uh, M. Doughty song) |

does this imply you travel all the way down to the first floor to express yourself? (cue madonna song) |

Bonus: these write-proof plastic walls have unbelievable standing electric charges, attracting dust and hairs and bits of toilet paper, but also obviating the need for expensive ticky-tack. Any scrap of paper will do!
At least the peripheral wean bathrooms are still first-amendment compatible. And boy, do people sure exercise their rights there. |

Gerry: I drew them in Flash, which is my favorite program for doing the actual drawing. I use a drawing tablet, so it's 100% computer. I would have loved to do the layout afterwards in Illustrator, but there is some weird color problem that I have when exporting from Flash to Illustrator that I was not willing to try to solve at 2:00 in the morning. So once I had the drawings I just exported high-resolution bitmaps and did the rest in Photoshop. Thanks for your comments!
Tom 7 Radar is like in-joke central, so it may be a bit tough to catch up.. ;) |

You can always bring back free expression to bathroom -- liberation! In college our dorm council's notes were posted in the bathroom, with a pencil stuck to a piece of "ticky-tack" also stuck to the stall wall.
While there are debatable public hygiene issues with this approach, it is certainly adaptable to write-proof plastic walls. |
| |
Hey tom how did you make these? Did you hand draw them and then go over it in Illustrator or something?
They look great.

As for the rest of you, I can't say I understand your jokes, but I think I want to. |

@Sridhar
Well here's one for ya.
"
ipso falso", because it's the only one I understood and most people would probably get that it was something to do with the signup process.
"failcess" is pretty funny now that jcreed has explained it, but he also mentioned the P word, so I hate him. |

Well, everything is back for me now, having rebooted. Might be different on the third floor. Next time just do your duty and check the water mains! |

Humm. Well, I will think of something for the next version, and then plan on having a key remapper in the options at some point. |

I like that one too--it's cross-listed in theory of comedy, IMO--which I first heard on the wall of the men's Wean 7th floor restroom. Why did they replace joke central with write-proof plastic walls? Do they hate laughter? |
| |
Undoubtedly "Tom 7" is already taken, but the fact that you already regularly use an alias ending in a number could have been quite useful otherwise.
Out of what you've registered, I'm most partial to "ipso falso" myself, but I'll never rally the votes in time. Some day, when someone else needs to choose a screenname, I'll send them to you to pick that one up, along with the others that you will have so callously wasted in your selfishness. |

Blogdar, more properly known as "stalkertron 2000", runs off a computer in my office ("spacebar") that also runs many of my other web sites. But its lifeblood is internet access, which it was deprived of until apparently just now. It turns out my [twm at andrew.cmu.edu] e-mail works just, so my withdrawal shakes are abating a bit. ;)
J: My facilitized office machine is inaccessible too, but I guess because it runs all its services off AFS. |
