I knew you'd be using drums eventually, and the result is awesome as expected. This is only like 3/4 and 4/4 though, I'm sure you'll be making phat beats in 39/16 soon enough.
Also, hate to be a nag, but what's the progress on making T7ESH available? I'd love to contribute but I have neither the Standard ML experience nor free time necessary. |

Suzanne: Thx. Well, there was once allegedly a mention of my Album-a-Day project in an NPR segment about NaNoWriMo, if that gets me any points.
cdinwood: Our official time was 13h25m44s. Like I said though, there was no sense of trying to finish fast, except in the sense of trying to get it over with as quickly as possible. Maybe some year I will try to run it.
msiegler: I only have a shitty iPhone pic. I heard today that this was actually "planned maintenance" to make the shaft shine like never before. Fishy.
chris'phone: William is always wussing out, like to go to Disney World or something. I think if you can walk to WV you can handle the RCT no problem.
KKKKK: You are not the only one to think I was serious, but for the record, I do know who Rachel Carson and Mandelbrot are. :)
It occurs to me that my notion that I could just add the 4 vertical miles to the 37 mile total is clearly false; of course we were traveling along diagonals so the distance would be more Pythagorean than Manhattan. Also I realized that there's a natural way to measure the elevation change, which is that each foot makes a step, of course, so if you were to just perfectly measure the elevation of each foot as it hits the ground you'd have an accurate and justifiable discretization of the terrain, which is easy to measure the total elevation change of. (Though, it would be different for each person.) |

rachel carson crusaded against ddt! She was the lady who was telling everyone about how it thinned the condor's egg shells.
congrats! |

also doing that whole thing between sunup and sundown is pretty crazy. wv (about 40 miles) took us i think 17.5 hours when we did it. additionally we can follow the panhandle trail, which used to be a rail line and so is very flat. i'm kind of terrified by the RC trail's elevation changes. |

hey william and i (and some other folks) did a walk on saturday too. i think i told you about how i walked to west virginia once? we tried that again this year, but william wussed out at mile 28. i think we coulda made it.
anyway, congrats. i should do the rachel carson thing some year. |

This is an extremely awesome-sounding challenge! Between wanting to be able to do something like this and the offensive, self-esteem-ruining pictures from my birthday party, I think I now have the entire motivation package I need to get back in shape. I credit you and Rachel Carson. But until NPR does a show about you, I'm giving her more of the credit. |

Also, there are no videos or demos on speeddemosarchive.com for Quake 3, which I think is a pretty weird omission. You should submit them to start the ball rolling! |

Cool... I'll watch, at least. I got perfect on some levels, but some are way beyond me (particularly the ones where you have to kill really fast because otherwise the other dudes just kill each other and someone wins). Let us know! |

[ Bathroom? Mushroom! ]
Wow, so I found a mushroom growing in my bathroom coming out of the wall next to the shower. It definitly was not there yesterday! This is my 3rd month living in this apartment and when I saw the mushroom earlier today I slammed the door and ran because I could not believe what I was seeing. When I called the landlord (who is the cheapest guy ever) he tried to tell me that it was probably the plaster "bubbling". I assured him that it was not plaster bubbles and that it was a stem with a mushroom cap!! He said that he would come by tomorrow and take a look at it because we left it in there so that he could see it. My roomate does not even want him to take care of it because knowing him he will just yank it out and go home. So who are we suposed to call regarding bathroom mushroom growth?! Apparently there has been complaints that our shower is leaking downstairs so obviously this is related, but I know that our landlord will take the cheapest route possible to "deal" with it. What should we do??? |

I had no idea it was this serious. I moved into an older apartment complex with apparently BAD plumbing problems. I never have seen a mushroom growing in the bathroom in my life. The thought at first was hilarious, I thought maybe I could sell them, but for the past few months I've grown tired of using a lighter and a can of Aqua Net to get rid of these mushrooms. I'm moving out! |

Thanks! Yeah, I had a bit of a techno bender there. Couldn't resist.
I know that the feed still doesn't work. I know what the problem is but haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. (Like so many things..) But, it will also disappear on its own as I post more entries (also not happening very fast) and the offending one is pushed off the RSS feed. Thanks for the reminder... |

I like it. Would that my own procrastination resulted in tunes this good! FYI your shit is still not showing up on LiveJournal, but if it's a choice between fixing that and making more T7ES tunes, the choice is obvious.
With the beats in this, one could totally play it at a rave, assuming the attendees were sufficiently drugged. |

So I just found 3 small brownish mushrooms growing in the bathroom.
Ive been glued to this site ever since! They are in the crack of the
floor and tile. The shower drips on the floor so thats the obvious
reason. Like everyone else Im wondering if they are harmful? Has
anyone gotten that far? And I'm a little scared to touch them to even
see if powder falls off. Thats just gross!!! I'm freakin out! Heeeellllppp! I
wana know what I might be breathing in before I get this goin! |
