If they're bots, they definitely can't be walked on. I think there may be botlimit issues if they are bots, though. Hmm, so many choices...

About "mines", just thought of this: should they be able to be walked over, as if they were rough? Or should they be able to be pushed like bombs? Or should there be two kinds? I know you would rather not have two kinds, so pushable is probably preferable, but it would be cool to have immobile mines that you can walk on to increase the danger potential of chain reactions...

Hey, I saw the same thing last year here in Brooklyn! It was pretty cool, although I guess I'd much rather have seen just a regular Pere Ubu show. (Especially since Tony Maimone was back playing bass--was he still there for this one?)

You just want a low-watt iron (I think mine is like 15 watt) in a pen shape, and some thin tin/lead solder. Electronics stores like radio shack will definitely have this. Soldering is pretty easy, but it is going to be a lot different than soldering stained glass.

Total amount spent on haircuts over the past 10 years (up until about one month ago): $0.00
And I have lots of hair! I just do it myself (mostly) or get a friend to do it (sometimes). But last month, I did get my first for-pay haircut in a while (I figure one per decade can be nice).

A few years back, my brother in law was building and selling computers. He used a hot glue gun to secure and lock in place the screws and some of the wires. It really helped when they got shaken during shipping.

Today, my flash stick's USB connection came off of the stick. (it got bent when I carried my laptop with it inserted - ouch). Do you have any wisdom on what type of solder materials and tools I should get to fix the four connections? It has been over 25 years since I took welding class - and the only soldering I did was on leaded stained glass.

Thanks.

I do that sometimes, but most of the time it is at like 2mm.

Andrew: Even very short hair needs a little love.

Jenna: Some of the levels are really hard! I think there are only one or two people who have beaten every level. (And definitely not me...) You might be able to get a hint by looking at the comments for the level on the site and turning on spoilers. But that's only if someone has gone to the trouble of spoiling it, which we tend not to do. Also, you could ask for a hint here or there. If the level's rated at a difficulty of about 7 or above, then I assure you it's not a blonde moment...

It's stolen straight from my animated featurette for CSL, a little in-joke.

I adore this game! One thing though...is there anyway to get a hint on a level? I am obviously having a blonde moment and am terribly stuck. :/

I uploaded a new version that fixes the zorder problem.

nothings: Yeah, I noticed that right after I uploaded, but had to take off, so I didn't fix it. Anyway, having egregious problems makes it easier to show progress. ;) It's actually just a trivial issue with the registration point for the player and lamp being wrong. Scaling for depth should be really easy; I just need some convenient way of representing the axis along which he should be scaled.

jcreed: yup, naturally!

I expect that you eventually will remember that while I am moving left, the left key should stop me from moving.

Otherwise, awesome choice of secret project.

The table/lamp z-drawing depth doesn't quite match its collision location, so if you get too close to it from the front you clip behind it.

The Lucasarts adventures at some point long ago started scaling the character up and down as he went further away in the scene. I bet you could do that pretty easily in flash.
