I checked in a bunch of web applications built with my prototype web scripting language aphasia. There's a bunch of stuff there, including the software which runs this weblog! Eventually I plan on checking in all of snoot.
This weekend I visited Cornell. I met a lot of nice graduate students and a lot of other nice prospectives. Everyone there is interested in theory, which was refreshing. Stavros, from Greece, told me the right way to pronounce the greek letters.
Now I'm back in Hamden to finish up my spring break. My dad says I can have the Minivan.
Nobody is here. I am just hanging out with my family and getting some work done...
So now my tummy is filled with pizza, and tomorrow it's off to Hama in New Haven for some sushi. We are even convincing my dad to have some. On Satuday it's back to Pittsburgh with the help of US Air's e-savers program. Then, apartment/internship hunting, etc...
Grad School Visits and Break

Well, today and tomorrow I am "visiting" CMU for their SCS open house. I'll be meeting the faculty and finding out what Pittsburgh is like. Saturday Morning I fly out to Ithaca NY to visit Cornell, probably with some of the same kids I'll meet here in Pittsburgh. After that, it's home to Connecticut where I'll make my pilgrimage to Pepe's Pizza, etc. Will this be my last "break" spent at "home"?
mr_bits has some great product reviews at amazon.com. Is there a whole counter-culture devoted to writing up fake reviews on e-commerce sites?
I found this guy on the Capresso Cappuccino machine page, as suggested by johnath. This $2400 beauty will make you a fresh cup of cappuccino any time you want it! Suggests another faithful reviewer, "If you can afford this thing, buy it! Let's see $7 a day, 5 days a week that is no longer being spent at Starbucks... that pays for it in 1.3 years." Believe!
Well, I hacked up aphasia to support HTTP file uploads, and then I updated my weblog software to support little pictures like this one. Click on it to see the bigger version, it's an up-to-date picture of me that I took with my new digital camera.
